I like the 2nd video on posting online the best. I think we should also show the cyberbullying video, or at least discuss it since it directly effects students. Good idea about the webinar! Julie 10/16
FYI - The LISD will offer two FREE Webinar events about the topic of Digital Citizenship on December 7 (Social Networking) and January 13 (Cyberbullying) from 4-5:15. We could mention / promote these opportunities.Maybe we could give a ticket to anyone who "attends" one or both of these events. Jan 10/2
I have a question for Jon about the kinds of questions we can suggest. Do they need to be true/false and multiple choice, etc.? I assume that the student / staff member will have to choose between some options with his or her magical clicker.

2. Prospective and current employers generally do not look at one's Facebook page.
A. So true. That would be unethical.
B. No, Mr. McAran is my Facebook friend and I know that he checks us out on a regular basis.
C. Not true in today's world. Employers DO check out their employees' social networking pages.
D. By law, prospective employers may not use information gleaned from your Facebook page to make hiring decisions.
3. The number one use of the Internet by young people is research.
A. No, silly. It is social networking.
B. Yes. It is much easier to do research online than in the THS media center.
C. No. Online shopping (mostly concert tickets and video games) is tops with teenagers.
D. The number one use is gaming.
4. One should never post anything online which
A. makes Mr. Mossburg look unattractive.
B. he does not want as part of his permanent "résumé.
C. includes Tuesday Trivia clues.
D. includes pictures of other people.
5. Cyberbullying is
A. done by more girls than boys.
B. done by more boys than girls.
C. is done equally by both sexes.
D. not much of an issue in more rural areas like Lenawee County.
